Caity Szalay was born and raised in Georgia. She went to Smith College for her undergraduate degree in psychology and education. After graduating she continued on there and got her masters’ in social work.
Caity moved to Iowa about one year ago to work with LGBTQ folks in rural Iowa. She is currently a therapist in Winterset as well as Des Moines. Caity enjoys working with teens and young adults on issues ranging from anxiety to gender.
In her spare time, Caity enjoys riding her bike or kayaking. She has never met a burger she didn’t like and is currently doing a burger tour of Des Moines. Caity also enjoys binge watching The Handmaid’s Tale with her girlfriend.
