Join One Iowa at your local Pride Festival

Do you want to make a difference and have fun while supporting LGBTQ equality? If you do, join us at your local Pride festival this summer! We are looking for people to represent us at our vendor booths throughout the state. We are also seeking volunteers to march with us in the Capital City Pride parade.

Pride commemorates the Stonewall Riots. On June 28, 1969, LGBTQ people (led by transgender women of color) fought back against police brutality and intimidation at the Stonewall Inn bar, igniting the LGBTQ rights movement in the United States. A year later, the first ‘gay pride’ events were held in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Join us and make your mark this Pride season!

Click on the appropriate link below to volunteer. Don’t see your local Pride festival? Don’t worry! We’ll be adding more opportunities to this page throughout the summer.
