Ruth Bloxham

Ruth has more than 27 years of financial experience in the non-profit sector, from developing the internal audit function at a 550-bed medical center in Ohio to financial management and parish administration in a large gay-friendly downtown congregation in Des Moines.

She graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a B.A. in accounting, and passed the C.P.A. exam early on in her career, although she is not licensed.  Her passion is working for organizations with justice agendas, and she enjoys the puzzle of new financial challenges.

Other professional associations for whom Ruth has done work are the local chapters of National Association of Church Business Administration and the Association of Fund Raising Professionals.

Ruth is originally from southern Minnesota, but is proud to claim Iowa as home because of its rich history of equality and human rights.
