Craig Leabhart

Craig is a lifelong Iowan from Davenport, who was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America from elementary school until he achieved Eagle Scout in high school. In 2008 he graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Political Science. During his time in Iowa City, Craig was involved with the Johnson County Democratic Central Committee. He also worked on the 2006 Coordinated Campaign, and with John Edwards for President during the 2008 Iowa Caucuses. Passionate about poverty relief, civil rights and the importance of national service, Craig became an AmeriCorps VISTA member and worked with low-income housing in South Los Angeles from July 2008 until July 2009.
